David R. Stager, Sr., M.D., F.A.C.S. obtained his M.D., residency training and M.M.S. from Ohio State University. His fellowship was at the Children’s Hospital in Washington D.C. with Dr. Frank Costenbader and Dr. Marshall Parks. He is a member of the TMA, AMA, AAO, and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS). He is certified by the ABO and is a member of the American Ophthalmological Society, the Squint Club and the Cosmos Club. He is listed in The Best Doctors in America. He has authored or co-authored over 120 peer-reviewed articles and five book chapters. His interest in teaching includes being the moderator of the annual AAPOS Adult Strabismus Workshop for eight years and guest lecturer at Harvard University/Boston’s Children’s Hospital, Michigan Ophthalmology Assoc., U. of Florida, UT Houston, OSU, and Texas Tech as well as Argentina, Venezuela, Dominican Republic and Spain. He presented the keynote address at the 2000 AAPOS meeting. He has been co-director of the fellowship program at Children’s Hospital and a clinical professor in the Dept. of Ophth. at UTSWMS in Dallas. He will be helping in the adult strabismus clinic at Parkland Hospital. He enjoys a daily work out and keeping up with his profession.
